Inspection cameras make details visible that would otherwise remain hidden, as the cavities to be inspected are often very difficult to reach. The combination of different sized camera heads, flexible cables and direct viewing on the screen makes the inspection camera an universal tool for the inspection of pipes, ducts, shafts and chimneys.
What is an inspection camera? An inspection camera is a small camera head attached to a mobile rod. This camera head is connected to a mount via a cable and can adapt to the courses of different areas. It can be used to inspect confined and hard-to-reach environments such as pipes. Professional inspection cameras feature rugged construction, high image quality, and a pan and tiltable camera head that allows for a wide range of motion. The waterproof cameras with LED illumination are therefore ideal for inspecting sewers, chimneys, ventilation systems and other cavities and can detect weak points at an early stage. Thanks to the high flexibility of the inspection camera, time-consuming disassembly is no longer necessary and inspections can be carried out faster, more precisely and more economically.
What is the purpose of camera inspection? Camera inspection can be used to detect damage or problems in pipes, ducts and chimneys. The advantage of the inspection is a pan and tiltable head with which the complete pipe walls and also branches can be examined. By means of a transmitter in the camera head and the position and angle display, the damaged area can then be located directly with the help of a locator.
What is the difference between inspection camera and endoscope camera? The endoscope cameras are used to get a first overview of possible damaged spots, or blockages. Due to their small diameter, they fit into the smallest cavities and drains. The advantage of an inspection camera is the enormous cable length. The inspection camera therefore reaches deeper areas of pipes, or chimneys and is particulary suitable for inspection and localization.
Can the images and videos be saved? Yes, the videos and photos taken with the inspection camera can be stored on a SD card. The files of the Wöhler VIS 250 and 350 inspection cameras can be transferred via mini USB port. The VIS 500 and the VIS 700 also have their own application, which allows you to use your smartphone, or tablet as a secondary display and to transmit the files via WLAN.
